Wooden Hand Carved Pagan Triple Moon Plaque 30cm

A beautiful hand carved Wooden tripple moon symbol designed as a way hanging decoration or alter feature. The lovely thing about these carvings is that they are made from a very lightweight balsa wood. They also have a totally flat back with gives the added benefit of being able to mount them onto and into existing wooden furniture, doors or even plastered into a wall. This pentacle has also been decorated with five Triquetra or endless Celtic knots which hold a great deal of symbolic meaning in ancient Celtic symbology

What is a pentacle
A pentacle is a traditional pentagram but surrounded by a circle of some description. The outer circle of the pentagram is usually interpreted as combining or binding the elements together, bringing harmony with each other. A pentagram (sometimes known as a pent alpha or pentangle or a star pentagon) is the shape of a five-pointed star drawn with five straight strokes.Pentagrams were used symbolically in ancient Greece and Babylonia, and are used today as a symbol of faith by many Wiccans, akin to the use of the cross by Christians and the Star of David by the Jews. The pentagram has magical associations. Many people who practice Neopagan faiths wear jewellery incorporating the symbol.
