Triple Moon Witches Cauldron / Resin Incense Burner

A lightweight metal cauldron that can be used for all kinds of spells, rituals, and general casting as well as smudging and basic fragrance and herb cleansing. It features a removable brass grate on the top for burning traditional incense resin, granules, herbs, or powders directly or indirectly using charcoal (Not included). It also features the triple moon emblem on the side which is a representation of the Triple Goddess in lunar phases (waxing, full, and waning) This is a medium-sized cauldron as far as modern ones go and is the perfect size for firework, brews, incense, alter work and smudges. It can be used with both fire and liquid inside and out, it can also be used for scrying if filled with water where its dark black bowl acts as the ideal background for creating the black mirror effect.
 

How to use a charcoal resin incense burner

Always start by placing the incense burner bowl on a heat-proof plate, a side dish, dinner plate or thick tile will work just fine. It is always advised that the bowl be filled with a layer of sand to help absorb heat and also give s fast option to snuff out burning material.


This is a lightweight and very versatile medium-sized cauldron 15cm x 10cm x 12cm and is around 400g in weight.

The cauldron is a vital magical tool that symbolically represents the elements of air, fire, water, & earth. Its rounded shape is thought to be representative of the womb of a mother and the three legs upon which it stands correspond to the three aspects of the Triple Goddess in lunar phases (waxing, full, and waning) Since early times, cauldrons have been used not only for cooking food, but for creating healing potions, magical brews & poisons They have been used as tools of divination, containers for sacred fires and incense, and holy vessels for offerings to the gods of old. 


Fire Magick

Many Witches use rubbing alcohol lit carefully at the drop of a match. Some use kinds of flash or gunpowder mixed with various metal fragments to create dramatic flashes of colored light. Alternatively, incense resins and dried plants can be dropped on hot charcoal creating fragrant plumes of smoke. These are often done as part of rituals and spells where the fire is thought to speed up the spell and take the intention up into the atmosphere where it connects with the spirit of fire. While the sight of a cauldron blazing or flashing can be very magical and enchanting. Remember always to place a burning cauldron on a fireproof surface. Practice safety when using any volatile materials & please always have a safe extinguishing plan in advance should anything go wrong.

Charcoal incense burning involves small hot coal, very, very hot coal! This is like a little mini BBQ so it must always be on a heat-proof plate or surface like a tile. It must also be level secure and away from children and animals. Like any naked flame, it should never be left unattended at any time. We would suggest having a glass of water on one side just in case! I've never had to use it, but It's always better to be safe than sorry, if you did have to put the coal out at any point in a hurry water can be slowly poured over it. It's a lot less messy to simply let it burn out in its own time, but if you need to it can be drowned very quickly. Under normal circumstances, you can simply place the bowl and plate in the sink to cool off for peace of mind.
