This is the latest advancement in infrared (IR) illuminators using LED chips rather than multiple clusters of individual lensed bulb style LEDs. This version comes with a solid black metal housing and tough glass front making it weather resistant and hard wearing. The lantern style light has an array of 6 focus beamed led 1w chips in the infrared light spectrum of around 850nm, this wavelength of light is visible to the naked eye only when looking directly at the led's and shows as a deep dark red. The light produced is however invisible to the naked eye and can only bee seen using night vision IR or full spectrum cameras or viewing devices. Infrared is a popular lighting format for paranormal investigation as it is outside the human vision range allowing the location to remain totally dark while still being able to see clearly with the night vision cameras. The lantern also incorporates a low light sensor that will turn the infrared led's on automatically when the ambient light levels drop to a dark enough level saving power or battery drain. Depending on the light sensitivity of the camera used this light can illuminate up to around a viewing range 25-55m (depending on the sensitivity of the camera used) A great IR lighting option that can be used singularly or in multiples and can easily be mounted to a a tripod (Mini tripod included) or stand as well as floor or table top use.

Lantern Size 13mm x 8.5mm x 3.5 the cable ends in a standard female CCTV style socket, the power supply comes fitted with a standard CCTV male plug for connection, combined length around 1.2m.
