This is a very specialised infrared 850nm(IR) illuminator that comes in the form of a neat hand held flashlight. It can also be used as a stand alone IR light or mounted on a camera rig. We have chosen this particular model as it runs from 1x regular AA battery (not included)

The light has an array of 3 IR led chips that are mounted behind a movable glass lens allowing for wide or zoom narrow beam use.The infrared light spectrum is around 850nm, this wavelength of light is visible to the naked eye only when looking directly at the leds and shows as a deep dark red. The light produced is however invisible to the naked eye and can only bee seen using night vision IR or full spectrum cameras or viewing devices. Infrared is a popular lighting format for paranormal investigation as it is outside the human vision range allowing the location to remain totally dark while still being able to see clearly with the night vision cameras. Depending on the light sensitivity of the camera used, this torch light can illuminate up to around a viewing range 15 m to 20 m. A great pocket sized self powered IR lighting option that can be used singularly or in multiples.
