What are "Backflow" incense burners
Back-flow incense burners are very cleverly designed sculptures that incorporate a special system that channels the incense smoke downwards much like a dry ice effect. They use a special innocence cone that is specifically designed for the purpose. When the cone is place in the designated part of the sculpture and lit,the smoke moves magically down the design like liquid pouring into the base vessel or surrounding ground.

Incense History
The first recorded use of incense was by the Egyptians during the Fifth Dynasty, 2345-2494 BC. Incense use in religious ritual was possibly also simultaneously developed in China, and eventually transmitted to Korea, Japan, Vietnam, the Philippines and onward threat the globe. The formula and scent of incense used in temples, shrines, Churches, rituals and ceremonies throughout the world vary widely. However, the principle purpose seems to remain as method of purifying the surroundings & enabling us to connect more closely to gods, after life, demons, & many other spiritual connections. Burning incense is an ancient natural art, used in ceremonies for thousands of years. Smells have a huge, if often subconscious effect on the psyche and natural incense smoke is no exception. Incense has been used at some point in almost every spiritual practice, from all the biggest established religions to the hippie movement and many individual and spiritual groups including witchcraft of all forms.
The purpose of smudging
Smudging is a cleansing ritual that dates back to the Native American Indian people, where herbs or tree barks would be burned and the person, animal or place bathed in the fragrant smoke. This ritual of cleansing and purification has lived on and been used by many different groups for the purification of virtually anything from bad spirits and demons or simply to remove negative energy and bring a fresh start to a place or person. As well as it's cleansing and purifying purposes, it can also be used to draw positive energies and even a carrier for prayers and intentions to a higher plane. Smudging is even used in simple good luck style rituals to bless new homes or bring Wealth, Healing, happiness and Prosperity to home, business or person, its your choice how you wish to use these things, no right or wrong.
